Lorenz Borer

Lorenz Borer joined Novavax in 2022 as Country Manager. Previously, he was Head of Strategic Procurement COVID-19 Vaccines at the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) in Switzerland. In this role, he was responsible for the negotiation and procurement of vaccines and prophylactic therapies for Switzerland.

Lorenz Borer has a broad experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the areas of market access, public affairs and compliance. He was a member of the Executive Board of Novartis Pharma Switzerland and Marketing Manager at MSD for many years before joining the Swiss Administration during the pandemic.

Lorenz Borer holds a master's degree in Molecular Biology (University of Zurich) and a master’s degree in Public Health from the Universities of Zurich, Bern and Basel.
